PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
All about PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
It is a never ending battle of cosmetic surgery towards an eternally youthful face and body. Over the past years, among Dermatology & Cosmetics Lab treatments there is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) with spectacular results. PRP is plasma that is rich in platelets and is in fact an autologous treatment. This means that PRP is received and infused from the patient himself, which makes it absolutely compatible.
First, blood is taken from the patient, just like in a simple blood collection. The blood is then subjected to centrifugation and, after a specific procedure, a platelet-rich plasma is obtained, which is infused into the respective areas. PRP treatment is effective in reducing fine lines and skin loosening, as well as scars resulting from acne, surgery, injuries and burns. It can also be applied to stretch marks, as well as to the scalp to treat hair loss.

The major advantage of PRP autologous treatment is that the patient’s blood is used (about 20ml) and therefore no danger of allergic or immunological reaction appears, unlike in other injectable treatments. Moreover:
All about PRP Total Plasma Lift
Dermatology & Cosmetics Lab is always a pioneer in presenting and implementing innovative treatments in Greece. Thus we present the new, revolutionary treatment of skin regeneration and tightening, Total Plasma Lift, or else internationally known as Vampire Lift. This is the absolute, non-surgical method for a flawless face without wrinkles, in which two innovative treatments are combined uniquely: the autologous PRP treatment and Fractional Laser.
The specialised dermatologists and plastic surgeons at Dermatology & Cosmetics Lab begin treatment through applying Fractional Laser, so that collagen activation precedes. They continue with autologous PRP treatment, receiving a small amount of blood from the very same patient (approximately 20ml). Blood is centrifuged isolating plasma, which is rich in platals and stem cells and is afterwards infused either using a needle or dermapen (non injectable PRP treatment) in the spots where Fractional Laser had been completed. Regeneration masks follow, assisting the face in recovering immediately after treatment.
Blood sampling is completely pain-free, as very small IV cannulas with wings are used. In addition, prior to Fractional Laser and PRP there is the possibility of applying topical anesthetic cream for making the whole process more tolerable. The procedure lasts about 40 minutes, depending on each case. Minimum recovery time is required and it allows you to return to daily routine right away, even to return straight to the office.
Total Plasma Lift is a totally safe treatment for thin lines, acne scars, stretch marks, spots, dilated pores and face discolorations. Results are visible within the next days, gadually improving day by day as collagen and elastin regeneration continues.
Depending on the case assessed by the specialised dermatologists and plastic surgeons at Dermatology & Cosmetics Lab, session repetitions might be required, but in most cases a single session is sufficient.
- It has low percentage of complications and minimal side effects.
