All about Cryolipolysis
Cryolipolysis is a method that removes localized fat without a scalpel, injections or anesthesia. It is a non-surgical, clinically proven procedure that selectively reduces unwanted fat using cooling technology. The targeted adipocytes of the body are cooled and thus a natural, controlled loss of these adipocytes is achieved without affecting the skin tissue surrounding them. The method of cryolipolysis is based on the principle of cold: when fat cells are exposed to severe cold, they die and are eliminated naturally by the body.

Why Should I Proceed with Cryolysis?
At Dermatology & Cosmetics Lab we use the most advanced cryolysis system that has been approved by the American FDA. It immediately treats love handles and unnecessary fat that does not react to any exercise or diet. It acts so fast that with just one application you start noticing a firmer and smoother body, quickly, painlessly and non-invasively.

Which Are the Stages of Cryolipolysis?
Two heads creating underpressure and sucking the affected area lower the temperature from -5 to -10 degrees. They thus degrade the adipocytes, leaving the tissues intact. At places where treatment is desired, a gel is covered with a membrane on which the special head is applied. Note that there are five different heads, each ideal for a different area of the body. The feeling that one has during the treatment is that of the cold at the point where the treatment is applied. The session lasts for about an hour, and then the patient can immediately return to his / her everyday life.

How Effective Is Cryolipolysis?
After each cryolipolysis treatment, it is estimated that approximately 20% - 40% of the adipocytes are excreted in the application area. So it is recommended that you drink plenty of water to facilitate such elimination. Since fat cells are crystallized and excreted, they are not recreated, as long as a healthy lifestyle is respected. The result starts being remarkably visible 20 days after the session and its final estimate is 60-90 days, so the specialised doctors of Dermatology & Cosmetics Lab will appreciate whether to follow a next session.

How Is Cryolipolysis Combined with Other Lipolysis Treatments?
For even better results after cryoipolysis, experts recommend balanced exercise and diet. Depending on each case, cryolipolysis may be combined with:
  • Cavitation treatment
  • Lipolysis mesotherapy
  • Laser liposuction
  • Body lifting threads
Why Should I Choose Cryolipolysis?
One of the main advantages of cryolipolysis is that we lose fat from exactly where we want, such as the abdomen, the waist, the buttocks and the inside of the thighs. Treatment is non-invasive and totally painless, and is a natural way to reduce fat. It is a safe procedure that does not require hospitalization or a scalpel, thus avoiding any inconvenience including stitches, pain and recovery time. The session takes place once in each area and takes about an hour, which is pleasant for the patient who can listen to music or read his book. After the end of the session, the appearance of the skin is noticeably improved, while the patient can immediately return undisturbed to his or her daily routine.

Who Should Select Cryolipolysis?
Since cryolipolysis does not facilitate weight loss but primarily aims at removing localised fat and improving body contours, treatment is not aimed at overweight individuals. More specifically, it is an ideal method to eliminate the persistent localised fat that resists dieting or exercise.

The effects of cryolipolysis are perfectly comparable to invasive methods such as liposuction. Fat cells disappear and inches are lost naturally. They do not come back as long as you still work out and follow your diet, while keeping your weight stable. If you follow your diet and a mild exercise program, then your new body will be steadily improved. Cryolipolysis is contraindicated in cases where there is a pacemaker, blood circulation disorders, gastric banding, as well as in areas with a recent surgical incision.
